The Wedding Party
-
Roxana Puia
"Roxi is my sis from another miss. She is my chosen family.
We met almost 15 years ago working in the Metro bakery. Our shared guilty pleasure - watching The Jersey Shore - is what ignited a bond that has carried me through some of the most challenging and the most joyful times of my life. Though it was a bit of a silly start, I am so grateful, and I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world.”

Ward Lentz
“I met Ward at boarding school in 2006 and we have remained close since. Although we’ve lived in different provinces for a decade, we see each other about once a year. Whether it be a last-minute Halifax escape, a long-postponed Cancun wedding (his), an exciting New Orleans party, or a quiet Wasaga Beach cottage retreat, each experience together is new, and somehow, familiar. Some of my favourite memories are in Ward’s company, and I’m so grateful to share another when he stands by my side on my wedding day”

Lulu Vulpe-Albari
"Lulu and I met in middle school, and I knew that we'd be friends forever.
Our sensitive souls have seen each other into adulthood, and I hold her close no matter the physical distance between us. It has been the ultimate gift to be by each other's sides through all the celebrations and the growing pains that life has to offer.”

Victor Sandu
“I met Victor in my last year of high school, but we got to know each much better while I attended his courses in university. We have similar interests, and when we’re together, our child-like curiosity and excitability shines (blindingly). You can usually find us both laughing in the woodshop, playing in the pool, teaming up for anything sport/skill-related or chatting about our latest discoveries. I’m so happy that Victor will be standing with me on my wedding day – I’ll have the goofiest smile on my face.”

Deslin Regis Boswell
"Deslin is a grounding force in my life.
Since the early days of our friendship almost 15 years ago, I have always been able to count on Deslin's unwavering support and love, not to mention her quick comebacks and endless laughs. If nothing else, my time at the bakery brought me some incredible friendships, and Deslin is a testament to that.”
